Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs

This is a movie and not a location
*****
I saw this movie with my husband last night. I will give you the short summary. It is about a loner who is a scientist and is determined to come up with some kind of scientific project that will help the people who live in Sardine Land one day. Well he does come up with a experiment but then it turns more dangerous than anybody realize. So now it becomes the loner's turn to stop the experiment before it kills people. In the meantime there is a girl who is determined to become a reporter but in reality her interest is in weather and she would rather wear glasses and study science. I will not get into any details because there are people out there who want to see it but if you do you will have a few laughs and even though it may look stupid it is a nice escape from reality.

The Bread Factory Cafe

New York, NY
7th Avenue between 35th and 36th Streets

***

After over three years of working around here, being around this place and never trying it, I decided that today was the day to do so. During lunch hour I did this and what I had was good. But it is really expensive. This is what I had: Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, green peppers, grilled chicken, cheeder cheese and honey mustard dressing with a can of diet pepsi. The total cost of this meal was: $9.79. The positive about this meal was I was given a nice size roll along with the salad for free. Overall it was a good meal. They also have a bread selection, pizza, sandwiches, pasta dishes, parfaits and desserts. Again be sure to have a lot of money on you.

Pathmark

Brooklyn NY
Nostrand Avenue and Avenue Y
***
The only real reason I go to this store is because it is a block from where I live. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday it is very crowded because many people do their shopping over the weekends. But if you go during the evening on a work week the store will not be as crowded. It has a deli, a carvel and a little bakery on the side. There is nothing extraordinary about this store except if you bring your own bag instead of using the plastic bags, you get two cents off a bag. The only thing I don't like is that they rely too much on a machine to do the work that a regular cashier should be doing and as a result only about one or two lines are open at a time. They try to keep more lines open during the weekend but many workers like to go out to lunch. There was one cashier though that I feel is dedicated to her job and actually packed all my stuff for me while she was ringing it up on the cash register. That saved me from doing a lot of work although it is rare that all cashiers are like that but I don't expect them to be.

Korous Bay Diner

Brooklyn, NY
Nostrand Avenue and Avenue Z
*****

This Diner deserves five stars not because of the restaurant alone but because I like their various food selections. When I first came to the restaurant my order consisted of Macaroni and Cheese with Salad and Bread. The meal was delicious. Then I tried a Waist Watchers Omlette. It consisted of an omlette with cottage inside. It also contained home fried potatoes and whole wheat bread. Now was that creative or what? Then one night I came here and I ordered a Korous Bay Salad. It consists of the following: Lettuce, carrots, tomatoes and sliced potatoes on the top of it with vinigerette salad. Even though I couldn't finish the whole thing it was good regardless. I also had a tostado salad with meat inside. You can actually eat the bowl since the bowl is edible. I also had a bagel, lox and cream cheese with lettuce and tomatoes. I also had a turkey wrap with fries. What is also good is if you get a complete meal you can also get dessert afterwards too. The complete meal contains soup/salad, vegetable and the meal. And the cole slaw is excellent. Usually at the cash register after you pay you can have a cookie as a token of your service to the restaurant. So if you want to come here and you are in the neighborhood then it is a good place to be.

This is my first Yelp Review on this blog.

My Own Personal Yelp

I have made a decision to start my own yelp blog since the yelp webiste that was supposed to have "real reviews" and "real people" turned out to be more of a popularity contest then an actual website to do what it was supposed to do. The purpose of real yelp was to write reviews and give advice to those who needed it. Since I was told I was a robot by those who use the threads all the time I decided to close my account with the real yelp and create my own. The purpose of creating my own yelp blog is to write reviews on various places I go to whether it is a restaurant, a store that I go to all the time, a place I go to the first time or may be it was something that I just need to write about. The stars will be anywhere from one to five stars. One is the worst rating, while five is the best rating. The only downside is if a person from an establishment reads my blog and decides my rating is too low for them well I don't know what to do because if their service really stinks or is just average well it is what it is in my mind. Sometimes I would love to give these establishments bad ratings they deserve but sometimes they should be grateful for an average rating. That is another complaint that I have read about the yelp website is that the businesses pay yelp a fee to advertise their business but then when the negative reviews come in from various customers the business had the audacity to call the customer in on it. My attitude is any review is feedback. Sometimes maybe the business should use the reviews to make their business better and not try to make the customer feel like a criminal. Nobody likes critcism but the reality is it is better to learn than to continue doing something and then later make a major mistake and then spend time in court. Since I want to write reviews and not be harassed by jerks on threads who think my answers on the threads are robotic well I'm going about it very differently. The only conditions are I won't write about my former places of employment even though it is tempting for some of these places, I won't mention any names of anybody involved except family members and I won't mention anybody else's name. And this is not a popularity contest so if any place, person or thing wants to be popular they need to earn it.
